- Found alternator charging at 15.2V. Check for voltage at the wiring going to the alternator. Found no voltage signal at the red wire. These trucks are notorious for the wiring breaking in the troff down on the bottom side of the engine. Advised customer we can dismantle front side of engine to access wiring or run 3 new wires from the ECM to the alternator – he approved of running new wiring. Ran new wiring, cleared codes & found battery light out.
- Additional time to extract the tie rod from the center link.
- Road test vehicle. Check all suspension and steering parts for wear. Check tire pressure and condition. Check riding height. Check caster and camber angles and adjust as required. Check and set toe-in as required. Center steering wheel.
- Rotate Tires, Reprogram TPMS System, Check Brakes & Suspension. Check & Adjust Tire Pressures As Needed.
